Responsible for 

  • Recruitment of freelancers for various positions
  • Management of freelancer-related documentation
  • Management of freelancer payments and international taxation issues
  • Managing the Edisense Brand (our freelancer brand) and strategizing to make the brand a well-known presence in the freelance community
  • Maintenance of Edisense forum and associated communication


Job Objective

  • To liaise with the quality team and the coordinators to identify the areas where requirement is urgently recruited and make strategies for executing the recruitment
  • To ensure the quality focus and recruit only those applicants who meet exacting criteria
  • To ensure that all recruitment processes are compliant with confidentiality and data security needs, and to manage all legal compliance and taxation-related activities for freelancers
  • To undertake various activities and projects with a view to making Edisense a preferred employer in the freelance community

 

Pre-requisites/Key characteristics and skills required

  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel (Intermediate to Advanced)
  • Technology-savvy
  • Coordination skills

  • Thorough knowledge of the editorial process
  • Background in the academic editing / publishing / pre-press industry is preferred
  • Experience with Recruitment is preferred

Recruitment

  • Timely and target-driven recruitment for various freelance positions
  • For freelance editor and translator position, analysis of freelancer spread (for multiple parameters) and setting recruitment targets
  • Interaction with quality team and other members of EC team on aspects of freelancer recruitment and integration

Documentation Management

  • Full responsibility for collecting, securely maintaining and regularly updating all freelancer documentation
  • Ensuring compliance of our record-keeping with ISO and legal standards
  • Documentation and regular review of all Recruitment team protocols
