Job Title: Quality and Training Manager, Editorial Operations and Quality Management

Location: Goregaon, Mumbai

Job Description
The Quality and Training Manager will be responsible for monitoring and improving adherence to in house editorial
standards. The QTM will oversee assessments conducted by the managing editors and perform root cause analysis to
identify and help implement appropriate pre-emptive improvement opportunities. The QTM will also manage the Quality
management system ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management


You will
Streamline existing quality management systems
Innovate/Ideate and create solutions for existing quality issues
Interact and exchange knowledge within the team and with members across the organization
Conduct random quality checks and report the findings to the Senior Manager
Audit quality checks conducted by Managing Editors and provide feedback accordingly
Communicate with the team and provide clarifications regarding file revisions, response to queries, etc.
Analyze client feedback along with editing managers and implement next steps
Be primarily responsible for resolving client complaints/escalations received
Ideate on and facilitate all points related to quality management

Training
You will
Groom Managing Editors, Assistant Managing Editors, editors, and editorial assistants via timely training and
feedback sessions to ensure that they perform to the best of their abilities
Oversee training batches for new editors
Generate and analyze data/reports on a monthly basis
Be primarily responsible for graduating trainees to independent editors/editorial assistants
Conduct training needs analysis for the team and is involved in strategic training-related consultations and
discussions with the higher management
Ideate on and facilitate all points related to training management


Skills required:
Excellent command on the English language
Ability to multitask
Ability to make decisions independently
Patient listener, Keen eye for detail
Proficient in working with MS Office, particularly MS Word and MS Excel
Efficient in time and task management
Experience and Qualification:
Master’s degree in any domain of Life Sciences/Medicine/Physical Sciences/Applied Sciences
Minimum 1 year of experience in editing/copyediting and/or conducting language quality checks for scholarly
documents

High proficiency in written and spoken English (near-native) and the
ability to explain language concepts to a layperson
Ability to multitask and demonstrate urgency and drive
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a
deadline-driven environment

Good online search and information verification skills
Conduct analysis with a focus on operational improvements
Ability and inclination to take on responsibilities beyond a defined role
Extensive knowledge of the STEM industry
